Itching for a ride, snow worries

ShareThis

With much of the UK still gripped by snow, there maybe one solution for the cyclist who is snowed in and wants get their daily fix of a ride, albeit it may not be on two wheels exactly.

Called the snow-bike, this specially adapted mountain bike features a single ski blade and a caterpillar track instead of wheels to gain traction on the snow. The ski blade replaces the front wheel while a caterpillar track wraps around the back wheel.

The snow-bike uses specially made kit made by Canadian company K-Track and can be fixed on to any type of mountain bike.

While it looks fun to ride down a hill, I’m not sure any one would use it for their daily commute this winter.
