Going Going Bike is proud to announce that we will be the official auction partner of The Big Life Ride. This is exactly the sort of event that we support - encouraging cycling, a great day out and raising money for good causes. Any cyclists in the area should be getting involved!
£1 million target
The Big Life Ride is a unique 12 hour relay cycle ride that aims to raise £1m pounds for a number of cancer charities and takes place on August 15, 2011 at Mallory Park Race Circuit, Leicestershire.
The event will see teams of up to 12 people per team riding around the circuit in relay fashion.
Live Auction and Entertainment
During the ride itself, Going Going Bike’s team will be on hand to hold a auction of some very rare cycling memorabilia.
Alongside the cycle ride and the auction, the Big Life Ride organisers will be holding a bike and cycle industry trade show within the paddock area of the circuit. The Big Life Ride team are promising top brands will attend the show.
The paddock area will also have catering and entertainment for visitors, while there are full camp site facilities at Mallory Park for visitors wanting to stay the night before.
Get involved!
The Big Life Ride is looking for up to 2000 plus riders there on the day with each rider raising sponsorship of £200 plus. Each rider on a team can ride from one hour each to as many as they can depending on the number of members on their team.
The ride itself is not a race and money raised will be dependent on the amount of time (hours) each person rides.
Charities benefiting from money raised at The Big Life Ride include Cancer Research UK, Macmillan Cancer Support, Livestrong and Rainbow’s Children’s Hospice.
Registration is now open for riders, please go to see www.thebigliferide.com for full details.
