Today the Tour de France will be won or lost on the slopes of the Tourmalet. A 2115 meter monster that has loomed large in tour history and features heavily in this year’s centenary edition of the race.

Unofficial World Record - Bicycle Daisy Chain of 55

We were amazed that so many people thought it a good idea to lock their bike to two other random bikes in our unofficial bicycle daisy chain world record attempt. In fact 55 of London’s finest cyclists plus over a hundred early adopters of GGB joined us with their wheels to celebrate our launch at Look Mum No Hands.

They’re hi-vis, mouthy and provocative…and, as it turns out, very popular. I am, of course, talking about our new t-shirts which we gave away to everyone who rocked up for some bikey fun on Tuesday for our launch party.
We just about had enough for the night but will have to reorder…particularly as we’re now receiving emails from people trying to get hold of one!

Bountiful Boris

Chatter aplenty today about the Bounty of Boris: the Superhighway and the cycle hire scheme. Boris’s great contributions to the city in his first term as The Mayor Of London (why all those caps?). Both schemes have their detractors and they are certainly not without their shortcomings. However, we must recognise that these are special times for cyclists in the capital. READ ON

World Record Attempt - Longest Bicycle Daisy Chain!

On July 20 at 7pm we’re going to try and set a World Record (unofficial) at Look Mum No Hands. You may be thinking what exactly is a bicycle daisy chain? And that’s a good question! It’s when you lock bicycles wheel to wheel to form as long a line as you can. Hopefully with your help we can stretch round the block… READ ON
